Fillings
(Tooth Coloured/ Fluoride Releasing Fillings)
Teeth which are decayed, fractured, discoloured or have gaps can be restored using tooth coloured filling materials which match the adjacent teeth and provide excellent aesthetics. Composite resins are materials which are used for tooth coloured fillings, they are bonded to teeth and the procedure involves various meticulous steps which when done properly can provide desired results.
In certain cases of large decayed teeth, the clinician prefers to use a fluoride releasing filling material where secondary infections are more likely to occur. Glass Ionomer Cements and combination materials are used to achieve remineralisation of demineralised teeth due to their fluoride releasing properties.
